Rhizobium biofertilizer is the natural, eco-friendly, and very effective microbial inoculant, especially to upgrade nitrogen fixation of leguminous crops. It contains Rhizobium bacteria, which provide symbiosis to plant roots, and thus, lumps are formed at root tips that absorb atmospheric nitrogen and facilitate its usage by plants. This natural nitrogen fixation reduces reliance on synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, enhances soil fertility, and promotes healthy plant growth. This crop yield booster provides some sustainable farming input by lowering the input cost for improving soil health. It best works for plants such as soybean, groundnut, chickpea, lentils, peas, pigeon pea, and the rest of leguminous species.
Packings Available
Powder: -500gm, 200gm.,100gm. & Liquid: 250 ml, 100 ml, 50 ml.
📌 Mode of Action:
• Nitrogen Fixation through Symbiosis – develops root nodules that convert free atmospheric nitrogen to a form, which is usuable by a plant
• Riches Soil Health – increases its fertility by building up nitrogen from the soil such that it erases the deficient nitrogen in crops.
• Enhances root development- Increases root growth, and improves the uptake of nutrients
• Enhance crop yield - Increases pod set, grain fill, and other plant development processes
• Improves soil microbial activity- Stimulates beneficial bacteria, which in return, enhances soil health in the long term.
📌 Benefits of Rhizobium Biofertilizer:
• Enhances Nitrogen Availability - It converts atmospheric nitrogen into a useable form to the plant to reduce the scarcity of nitrogen in the plant
• Enhances root development - Deep penetration of the roots and improvement in nutrient assimilation.
• Boosts Crop Yield and Quality – Better flowering, pod formation, and grain filling in leguminous crops.
• Reduces use of chemical fertilizers – Saves money by reducing the use of synthetic nitrogen fertilizer.
• Improves soil health - Rich soil microbial activity for long-term fertility.
• Supports organic and sustainable farming as a friendly environment to the soil from chemical fertilizers, which reduce soil pollution.
• Enhance Drought and Stress Tolerance – improves plant resistance to stress conditions such as drought, soil salinity, etc.
📌 Target Crops:
• Pulses & Leguminous Crops: Soybean, Groundnut, Chickpea, Lentils, Pigeon Pea, Green Gram, Black Gram
• Vegetables (Legume Family): Peas, French Beans, Cluster Beans
• Forage Crops: Lucerne (Alfalfa), Berseem Clover
• Plantation Crops (Intercropping with Legumes): Coffee, Tea, Rubber, Coconut
📌 How to Use Rhizobium Biofertilizer:
• Seed Treatment (for better root nodulation and germination)
1. Powder Form:
Mix 10 g of Rhizobium biofertilizer per 1 kg of seeds.
Sticking agent 10% jaggery solution be used for uniform coating.
Allow the treated seeds to dry under shade for 30 minutes before sowing.
2. Liquid Form:
Mix 10 ml of liquid Rhizobium per 1 kg of seeds.
Shake well and apply the seeds uniformly before sowing.
• Soil Application (for long-term nitrogen fixation in the root zone)
Mix 2-4 kg (Powder) or 1-2 liters (Liquid) of Rhizobium biofertilizer per ha.
Mix it with well decomposed FYM or compost before applying
It has to be applied either before or at the time of sowing so that effective bacterial colonization is done.
Root Dipping (for seedling-based crops like pulses and vegetables)
Dissolve 10 g powder or 10 ml liquid in 1 L water.
Dip roots of seedlings for 15–20 min before transplanting.
• Foliar Spray (for fast nutrient uptake in stressed plants)
Dissolve 5-10 ml of liquid Rhizobium in a liter of water
Spray at vegetative or flowering phase to enhance nodulation
